It’s Not About You

It's not about you
A few days ago, an old colleague reached out and was telling me all the reasons why he couldn't release his music, start a podcast, or appear on video. Interestingly, these reasons are all rooted in self-limiting beliefs. I've come to realize that indulging in such beliefs is profoundly selfish. One significant hurdle he mentioned was his dissatisfaction with how he looks on camera, a sentiment stemming from childhood issues that, nonetheless, can be overcome.
In response, I empathized, acknowledging that I, too, dislike how my voice sounds on recordings. Despite incessantly nitpicking every video, I put them out because I recently heard something transformative. I make it a point to hold onto ideas that can change my life. If you genuinely have a message from God to share but hesitate due to concerns about appearance or sound, stop being selfish.
If you make it about yourself instead of the message, you'll remain stuck on the edge of your comfort zone, missing out on your purpose. It's never been about you; most people won't even see your early efforts. This message is crucial because I'd hate to witness someone forsaking their purpose out of fear or selfishness about personal shortcomings.
Remember, it's not about the flaws you perceive in yourself; it's about the impact your message can have on others. Embrace the imperfections, for they make you human and relatable. As you step beyond the boundaries of self-doubt, you'll discover a world of fulfillment and purpose. Don't let the fear of judgment or the trap of selfish concerns hold you back from sharing what could potentially change lives. Embody the message you're meant to convey, and in doing so, you might inspire someone else to do the same. So, go ahead, break free from the confines of your comfort zone, and let your authentic voice resonate with the world. Your message matters, and it's time to share it boldly.
